Pre-K – Mrs. Barney
- In this class, children receive learning through areas of academics, physical activities, and social/emotional teachings within an early childhood Christian environment. The curriculum focuses on literacy, numeracy, science, and art. In Preschool we incorporate structure and routines to help students develop school behaviors that support a positive learning environment. School behaviors include working with others, listening as another is speaking, making good choices, taking turns, problem-solving and building relationships.
K-5/6th Course Descriptions:
Spanish with Mrs. Rodriguez
- Come! Vamos hablar español! Let’s take a journey to other parts of the world where the language of Spanish is spoken visiting a different country every week. Students will learn the language through dance, song, music, art and bilingual reading just to name a few. We will listen to stories, learn many songs, and keep an ongoing vocabulary list. We will build our skills with bi-weekly lesson plans taken from Sonrisas Elementary Spanish Curriculum. For our returning and older students, we will continue with Sonrisas Level 2. Students will learn different cultures and customs, while focusing on conversation with each other. So come along, y vamos hablar español!
Art (Part 2) with Ms. Valentine
- Step into the vibrant world of creativity as we journey through the history of art—from the Renaissance brilliance of Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci to the peaceful brushstrokes of modern icons like Bob Ross. In this hands-on class, students will explore different art movements, techniques, and artists that have shaped the world, creating their own masterpieces inspired by each era. Don’t worry if art isn’t “your thing”—God has created each of us to be creative in our own way. Whether you love drawing, painting, storytelling, or simply exploring ideas, there’s a place for you here. This class is about discovering beauty, expressing yourself, and learning how art connects us through the ages and to the Creator of all the ages. *Former Liberty Hill students will enjoy the next level progression of this class.
PE with Mrs. Rodriguez
Innovation Lab with Mrs. Hatch
- Welcome to the Innovation Lab, where imagination meets ingenuity! In this hands-on, project-based learning experience, students will explore the world of STEM through the lens of children’s literature. Each lesson begins with a story that sparks curiosity and sets the stage for an engaging STEM challenge. Students will use the engineering design process—ask, imagine, plan, create, test, and improve—to solve real-world problems inspired by the stories they read. Along the way, they’ll develop essential skills like creative thinking, collaboration, problem solving, and resilience, just like real engineers and scientists.
Music with Mrs. Hatch
Character Building
- A walk through the Bible, exploring the life of Jesus through the Scriptures and geography.
