Happy November! I’m kind of mentally stuck in April so I’m a bit baffled to be here. It seems like many of us are still playing mental catch-up.
We have several things to note for this week. Make sure to read to the bottom so that you don’t miss any announcements!
November’s healthy eating focus is on YELLOW foods! Yellow foods can be anything from yellow squash to bananas and mangos! Vitamin A can be found in many of these foods as well as cancer fighting antioxidants and vitamins!
This year we are doing yearbook a lot differently! In year’s past we have tried to compile it after the year is over. This year, our Middle School students on Monday’s Round Rock campus are running yearbook and we have contracted with Balfour to print and produce them for us! As such, YEARBOOKS ARE ALREADY FOR SALE.
Yearbooks will be printed and all shipped to Ms. Newell in June. We will plan a family day at the park to see our fellow Rock families and distribute yearbooks in early July.
You can also add in a “Shout Out!” page for your student to show how proud you are of them! Yearbook prices are the lowest they will be all year right now! Prices go up after Christmas.
Please begin donating supplies for our annual Blessing Bags Drive! This can include socks, blankets, cans of food, packets of tuna, small water bottles, small hygiene supplies–anything we might easily assemble for an individual experiencing homelessness.
Blessing Bags will be a bit different this year! More details to come!
Tuition reminder! It IS the first week of November so tuition is due! If you need help playing catch up or you don’t remember what you owe, please contact Ms. Turner at Director@TheRockEnrichmentAcademy.org
Your student should have activated their @therockenrichmentacademy.org email address. If you need help with that, also email us!
Classroom is where you will find all class-specific work and weekly posts about what the students did during their day!
Regarding Health Screenings Tickets:
You now have TWO options for completing this ticket. Either you can print off and have your student hand-deliver a paper ticket OR you can choose to fill out an online form for each student each class day!
The online form can be done on your phone’s browser or if you download the Google Classrooms app, that should link you to it! All Google Classrooms have the link at the top of their page. There’s also a link ON the Health Screenings page that is linked above.
In order to uphold social distancing procedures, ALL students will be dropped off and picked up via carpool on ALL campuses.
For RR/Mondays this door will be found on the east side of the building
For CPW/Tuesday this will be at along the parking spots parallel to the playground
For CPE/Wednesday this will be on the east side of the building in the parking lot that runs parallel to the main gym entrance
Pre-K Students at RR can be dropped off by the doors nearest to the center of the building on the west side of the building. They can also walk in with an older sibling.
Pre-K students at CPW can either be walked to the front door and a teacher can take them to their classroom or you can walk them to the classroom until they are comfortable with a front-door drop off. They are also allowed to walk in with an older sibling.
Class Highlight of the Week!
Did you know that we now offer STEM Science and Nutrition Classes on Thursdays? This is a great supplement for our K-6th students! Our first week was last week, so there’s plenty of time to join!
