3rd-6th grade will practice writing down vocabulary on paper or whiteboard during class.  Make sure your student has supplies available for class. Printables for this lesson are located for download at the bottom of lesson.

  1. ¿Que dia es hoy? 

Students will answer with the phrase below, using the correct day of the week:

            Hoy es___________

            lunes, martes, miércoles, jueves, viernes, sábado, y domingo

  1. Storytime:

Students will follow along with the story Margaret and Margarita and repeat any phrases when asked to do so.

  1. Art Time:

Materials needed: one sheet of paper (construction or copy paper), crayons or markers, scissors.

            Instructions for the art project: (a model will be provided as an example)

  1. Students trace their hands.
  2. Students will write  “Hola. Me llamo______.” on their traced hand.
  3. Students will use the art project to repeat the phrase they have written.
