Lesson One: Proverbs 2
For MS/HS Character Building, we have been reading a chapter of Proverbs every week.
On Tuesdays, the students would watch a video about the chapter from Proverbs we were highlighting. Reread Chapter 2 and then listen to this speaker as he reflects on what he has learned from this chapter.. If you do not have a Bible journal, find a notebook or journal you can use to reflect your thoughts. Here is the link for Proverbs Chapter 2:
On Thursdays, each student was given a journal for recording their reflections and insights while reading chapters of Proverbs. It would be beneficial to continue reading and reflecting, even though we can not meet face to face to discuss our thoughts. Find your journal and your Bible and start reading!
Commit to reading a chapter a day for 30 days. Proverbs has 31 chapters, so it is logical to read the chapter that coincides with the same date of the month. Example: March 28th, read Proverbs Chapter 28. Record and reflect your thoughts, including verses that speak to you or that you don’t understand. Dig deeper–if you are unsure of the meaning of a verse or phrase, look up a different translation of this verse and research what this verse is trying to communicate. Pick a verse from each chapter every day of the week to reflect on throughout the day.
