This year’s fitness class at the Round Rock campus will be taught Mrs. Dianna Martz, a 20+ year fitness coach for both youth and adults.  

The class will focus on “functional training” and as we transition from the sole Martial Arts focus of years prior, the same great exercise philosophies and meaningful tasks will remain. These tasks will be directed toward building your student’s strength for everyday life activities. 
Functional training will incorporate a variety of equipment like battle ropes, resistance bands, and weighted balls. Specific elements in this class can be adapted to needs and goals of every age.

As fun “functional” fitness increases this year, so will the understanding of health related vs skill related fitness; overall, training for lifetime skills. 

Pillars of Functional Training

Integration 

A variety of exercises that work on flexibility, core, balance, strength and power, focusing on multiple movement planes.

Individualization 

As God made each student unique, they will develop their own specific goals and raise awareness of their individual state of health.

Progression 

Progressive training steadily increases the difficulty of the task, as well as confidence levels.
