This year’s fitness class at the Round Rock campus will be taught Mrs. Dianna Martz, a 20+ year fitness coach for both youth and adults.
This year’s fitness class at the Round Rock campus will focus on “functional training” and the basic fundamental gross and fine motor skills needed for physical and mental development. Some other tasks to be emphasized include sportsmanship, teamwork, and cooperation to understand integrity better. Implementing these traits helps build your student’s character, physical strength, and coordination for everyday life activities. As fun “functional” fitness increases this year, the student will understand health-related vs. skill-related fitness. This awareness emphasizes training for today, tomorrow, and beyond, inquiring a lifetime of skills.
Pillars of Functional Training
A variety of exercises that work on flexibility, core, balance, strength and power, focusing on multiple movement planes.
As God made each student unique, they will develop their own specific goals and raise awareness of their individual state of health.
Progressive training steadily increases the difficulty of the task, as well as confidence levels.
