Servant Leadership and Character Building with Mrs. Klemmer

Welcome to Servant Leadership class,

This class is built on the principles of how Christ served. Through discipleship  teaching about the life of Jesus, serving other people with love, compassion and kindness, – which are much needed ingredients in our society today. The Servant Leadership class is based on the Word of God, The Bible is our textbook. Our students will discover their strengths and  how to be caring and serve others,  through activities and projects  to build they can best be used to serve others in a leadership role.

This class will include choosing a project the students are passionate about and engaging in activities to help their ideas come to fruition. We will explore a variety of ways to make a difference in the world.

During the lessons we will share with  the children ideas, situations given, ministries experiences, and then allow the students to express their opinions and feelings to a variety of questions. Our purpose is that they will develop thinking, problem solving skills and character traits as generosity, citizenship, compassion, fairness, integrity, respect,  responsibility, self-discipline and trustworthiness, that they will use to deal with the  circumstances in their life, in relationship with people, and be the Lord’s leaders.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Spanish with Mrs Klemmer

“Hola, soy la Senora K”  I am so excited to have your child in my class, and we are going to learn Spanish  in a fun way  through many activities such as: singing songs, playing games, reading bilingual books, also doing circle time, art projects, written  worksheets; building vocabulary with the alphabet, numbers, colors, calendars, home and family, greetings, body, animals, sports, hobbies and more. The thematic content  of our clases is grounded in children’s everyday experience. We are going to learn about latin culture  through activities involving singing some rhythms, playing some instruments “cuatro, maraca y tambor!”, dancing some latin rhythms, and cooking delicious  latin american food. While our students are engaged, I will converse with them in Spanish, one-on-one, about every activity that they are working on, and they will learn vocabulary and language concepts as they learn the beauty of the Spanish culture. Bienvenidos!

Orchestra with Mrs. Alupoaicei

Students will learn the basics of playing string instruments and be exposed to great music, while learning music history and exploring  the lives of composers. Students will also and learn to read notes and discover the joy of making music together!
