Join us for the Annual Blessing Bags event this year for an afternoon of fellowship and the opportunity to assemble supply bags to gift to our homeless population in and around the greater Austin area! We will be gathering at 12:00pm and wrapping up by 2:30pm.
Each year (except for Covid/last year), we’ve gathered together to assemble bags, enjoy time to get to know all our families throughout the program, and to enjoy a potluck lunch.
We will be doing a potluck style soup lunch and then, weather permitting, setting up an assembly line outside. Please plan to donate items and to bring soup to share!
In year’s past, people have brought crock pots or large pots with soup ready to serve. You’re also welcome to bring sides/toppings, and other snacks/desserts. We will have gloves for those serving/at the food tables, tables, a few extension cords, hand sanitizer, and water bottles. Please plan to wear a mask if you’re around the food!
This event is for ALL Rock students and their families! We will be using the Cedar Park West campus for this event. Each bag you assemble will go home with you so that you can, as a family, find a person-in-need to donate it to. This is a NOT a drop-off event. Students will need to attend with a parent/guardian/babysitter/trusted adult friend, etc.
Below is the list of the supplies that we are gathering! Please purchase (or find donations) and then hold onto the supplies until December 9th unless you’re unable to make the event, but still want to contribute.
More details to be added soon!
