RR 5/7 – Monday Highlights & Homework (end of the yr prep!) + field day date & location

Happy Mother’s Day! I hope your day is richly blessed! Here are highlights from this past Monday.

SPANISH with Mrs. Lomas:
*K/1 students have been practicing for the end of the year presentation song
A-E-I-O-U.
*1/2 students reviewed colors and wrote the Spanish word for the color that corresponds.
*3/4 students reviewed months and dates in Spanish.
*5/6 students reviewed months and dates in Spanish and we also talked about the end of the year presentations. +Each student picked a topic to bring next Monday all about Mexico.

SCIENCE:
We completed our world of water graph. We hypothesized how all life on earth could survive with the limited amount of fresh water on earth. Then, we saw a video of the water table/water cycle.

MARTIAL ARTS:
We continued fitness testing this week. The results are very interesting. Some students have been consistently doing their fitness homework have demonstrated so by statistical data. I am observing more students in appropriate clothing for athletic activities this week. Thank you to those parents that are ensuring your children are wearing footwear that supports their feet in a manner that reduces the chance of injury.
We will finish up this next week testing those that have been absent and then play some active games that are fun but still increase athletic opportunity.

Respectfully,
Shihan Yocham

ART:
*K-1, 1-2 Finishing projects for our big art debut
*3-4 Working on our mural and any unfinished art projects
*5-6 Working on our mural and any unfinished art projects
*Character building 1-2:We practiced our rain ensemble for our big end of the year show.
