Important Details Regarding Registration -This Week! (+Communications highlights from Wed.)

Hey parents! I realize there is a lot of information below, so thank you in advance for your patience in reading through it. This week you will receive a link via email to register for the 2018-2019 school year. All registration will be done by completing the form attached to the link and the first month of tuition and all fees will be due up front, by May 15 to secure your spots (unless special arrangements regarding payment are made with me).

In addition to the supply fee and family registration fee, we are adding a new annual ‘technology fee’ of $32 per child. After spending a great deal of time looking into the most affordable options, I feel you’ll be pleased with all this change brings. For basically just $3.50/month, you will appreciate the streamlined communication, added features, security and ease of use. Plus, you will be able to control how you receive updates (either by text or email) and choose how many updates you receive per child, even specify correspondence by a particular class.

To further explain the what’s and why’s regarding the technology fee, after your initial registration you’ll receive instructions to access our new web based software. The new software program may be easily accessed from your phone or desktop and will allow you to view secure information specific to your child regarding homework, incident/accident reports, praises, pictures, etc. You will be able to easily send information to teachers, update family or medical information, notate absences and late arrivals or early pick ups, as well as who is allowed to pick up your child -or other special circumstances. We’ll also eventually implement an easy to use check in/out system for your child.

Furthermore, with this new system you will be able pay tuition using online bill pay (no other added monthly fees) and log on to your account to view payment history or print a record of payment for tax purposes -at any time. With online bill pay, you’ll no longer set up bank drafts through me, rather you’ll be able to enter your account information, securely set up recurrent payments and easily make changes if need be. You’ll still have the option of paying via check or cash in person on the 1st week of every month (starting in Oct.) and you will also be able to make a credit card payment, although standard processing fees would apply there.

So, the registration, supply, & technology fee along with the first month of tuition will be due upon completion of online registration, or no later than May 15. I will open registration to the public two weeks after I release the registration link to our current families, so please complete the form and submit payment as soon as possible to reserve your child’s spot at your preferred location/s.

It has been an honor to be part of your child’s education and your family is so important to me, so please don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or let me know if you need to make alternate payment arrangements. Thank you.

Tired of reading yet? 😉 Here’s just a little bit more and I’m sorry for this late post for last week’s (Wednesday) Communications Highlights/Homework. I posted the pictures and meant to go back and add the text before sending it). Again, sorry!

From Ms. Newell-
In K/1 and 1/2, we talked further about honesty and integrity. We shared times when we have told the truth even though it was more difficult to do so. We also talked about what jobs we wanted to do in the future and what being an honest version of that needed to be the priority because being honest is more important than just avoiding consequences–it is a reflection of who we are!
5/6 and 3/4 continued to work on their speeches. There are just a couple students in each class that have not given their speeches yet. If your student states that they have not yet given their speech, they need to plan on presenting it this coming week. Starting next week we will be splitting up into debate teams and will be working with the teams to figure out which team of 3/4 students will debate the 5/6 students at the end of year presentations. If you student will not be at school during these presentations or will be out, please let me know so that I can make smart decisions about teams! I wouldn’t want another student to not be able to participate due to their partner being absent.

I appreciate you all and look forward to seeing you this week.

Blessings, Angela Turner, Director
