We explored how energy is transferred. (3/4th grade witnessed this concept before our experiment began with the loss of the classroom clock! Ask them about it!) Everyone was able to explore how force can change the law of inertia with wax paper and a cup.
*K/1: This week we began our study in ( la familia y mi barrio) this months vocabulary words can be found in the red folder. We also finished our bilingual story (La Gallina Roja). The kids and I met David’s familia during his presentation (Todo Sobre Mi), his hermanita linda and learned that David’s favorite fruta es mango! His lugar favorito es Lego Land! Gracias David for a wonderful presentation!
*1/2– This week we began our study in ( la familia y mi barrio) this months vocabulary words can be found in the red folder.
We also took a visit to Mexico with Zane! Saw a small white salamander that can only be found in the rivers of Mexico. Met beautiful butterflies that migrate to the south in winter, often bending tree branches due to the amount in numbers. Sampled a Mexican favorite ( dulce de coco) candy! Also, stopped and visited the Chichen Itza ruin. Gracias Zane, for the yummy treats!
*3/4: Completed last months memory jogger on Wednesday , which was r/s due to our trip to South America! We also received this months vocabulary words ( la familia).
*5/6: We will be adding familia vocabulary words to last months saludos phrases. We heard a restaurant presentation put on by several students, great job! Also, completed page 26 in the workbook.

We will start doing the speeches this next Wed. when we all come back from break, but we won’t get to everyone! So, students need to be prepared to either give their speeches on the 21st or 28th.😊
