Monday & Tuesday Highlights (2/26 & 2/27)

+MARTIAL ARTS with Shihan Yochum:

 

 

 

 

+SPANISH with Mrs. Lomas:
Round Rock Spanish-
*k /1 Students learned about clothing with a fun exercise & learning video*1/2 Students learned adjectives words that tell about or describe nouns.
*3/4 Students learned masculine and feminine. All Spanish nouns and adjectives have a gender, students learned two basic rules to determine the gender of words.
*5/6 Students learned adjectives that show possession or to whom something belongs mi-my, tu-your(informal), su-your(formal), nuesrto-our(masculine) and nuestra-our(feminine). Students also learned Spanish nouns, masculine and feminine, and its plural form.

Cedar Park West Spanish-
*k/1 Students learned names for each fruit, vocabulary and watched a fun learning video.
*1/2 Students learned adjectives words that tell about or describe nouns.
*3/4 Students learned Masculine and feminine. All Spanish nouns and adjectives have a gender, students learned two basic rules to determine the gender of words.
*5/6 Students learned Spanish nouns masculine and feminine and its plural form and essential words/vocabulary.

+MUSIC with Mrs. Larsen:
We continued learning our Jonah songs, and danced the Mexican hat dance. Grades 3-6 also practiced recorder. *Reminder: 3-6 students should always bring recorders to class each week, and 5 min/per school day is the recommended homework practice time.
*5/6 Character Building- We enjoyed oral reports from students about Olympic athletes who overcame challenges to gain success. Those who did not present today may still write a short Olympic report to present next week. Have a great week!

Monday Round Rock ART-
*K-1 continued working on our shadow puppets
*1-2 we almost finished our perspective projects!
*3-4 continued working on our shadow puppets Learned how to draw a scorpion
*5-6 continued working on our shadow puppets learn how to draw a coyote and a Narwhal.

*Character Building 1/2 RR campus

We read: You’re here for reason by Nancy Tillman and talked about how even the smallest of kind things that you do blossom and multiply far beyond you.

Tuesday CPW ART

*K-1 continued water coloring our cats

*1-2 we learned how to draw a scorpion

*3-4 continued water coloring our perspective projects

*5-6 continued water coloring our perspective projects

 

*Character Building 1-2 and 3-4 CPW
We covered up not so nice names that people might call us with Band-Aids and discussed how name-calling never feels good. We celebrated what we do like to be called.

Indoor recess day is no ordinary day: Puppet Shows, Duck-Duck-Goose, Poison Frog, Battleship and board games, art extras, loving teachers and awesome kids!!!
