Wednesday SPANISH:
This week en las clase de español

We also pulled out page 22 in the workbook and had fun matching the Spanish to english translation of our vocabulary words onto construction paper. This months vocabulary words came home in the red folder. Next week I will send home a worksheet with some ideas to add to our Spanish project ( todo sobre mi). Gracias!

We completed page 10 and 11 in the workbook (saludos y buenos dias). Please practice writing your vocabulary words in the red spiral notebook.

Saw the beautiful national white flower ( orchid) symbolizing peace, beauty and art. Also, learned about Guatemala’s currency (quetzal) and how sadly it is one the poorest countries in Central America. We also completed pages 5 and 6 in the workbook.

P.E: We were blessed to have Shihan Yokum
with us again, working on Martial Art skills including a fun blocking activity. We are excited to have Mrs. Kaderli back next week.

This past week we also had a bake sale during lunch/recess, organized by one of our awesome 5/6 graders. Proceeds will go to Saint Jude’s children’s research, and Mary Jane will be back next week with more goodies!

Check out our…Recess Reader’s Club!!

I will send class lists for each campus tonight, and to protect all names being posted on the homework blog, I will send them through the main registration database. These lists will help your child make Valentine cards, sharing at least one character trait they admire about each of their classmates for Character Building classes this upcoming week (Mon, Tues & Wed). Students may bring treats to share as well. I have had difficulty with formatting so if your child’s name does not appear correctly, please let me know. Thank you and have blessed weekend!
