Musical Notices!! Monday & Tuesday Highlights

MUSIC: We’re looking forward to our musical next Tuesday 2/6. Parents, please arrive at 12:00 PM and wait for doors to open at the sanctuary. After the show parents are welcome to stay for lunch/recess until classes resume at 1:00. Students need to bring full costumes (they don’t need to wear them to school). Please remember that one of our teachers will wear a wolf mask so prepare young children. The play does depict the sheep dying but we’ve tried to focus the show on the morals of hard work and sincerity and that there are consequences for making poor choices. We hope everyone sees that the boy realizes he made bad choices, feels bad about the consequences and chooses to change for the better.
*Props still needed: fake trees, black sheets or blankets, light green sheets or blankets, and brown sheets or blankets, a yo-yo. Please email Mrs. Larsen if you can help with those. Thank you!

Monday in RR with Mrs. L

We covered up not so nice names that people might call us with Band-Aids. And discussed how name-calling never feels good. We celebrated what we do like to be called.
*Art k-1
We discussed and read a book about the famous artist Henri Matisse and his later work involving collage. The students made collage birds.
**All other art classes: we continued our perspective projects
