TREA CPE Wed. Highlights & Homework

Science—We had “egg-tra ordinary” experiments in science! We observed how to create a vacuum by lower air pressure in a bottle with an egg resting on top! We then “rescued” the egg by changing the pressure in the bottle. (We covered fire safety in class but please reinforce safety with fire and experiments at home.)

This week en la clase de español:
*Kinder- We talked about animals (animales en la selva) y ( animales en la granja) and learned their Spanish translation. We also read a bilingual book ( El lobo llama a la puerta). This month we will be reviewing colors, numbers and animals. Happy bienvenido to our new student Andrew! 😁

We also discussed as a class if we would like to research a Spanish speaking country or create an all about mi poster, as our project this semester to present to the class on a tri-fold or poster board. More information to come.

We also began finalizing our spanish speaking country selections that we will be researching this semester, by adding all our facts to a poster board (tri-fold $1.00 at dollar store) and presenting our projects to the class. These projects will be worth 20 points, and can be brought in as early as next month. More information to come.
*5/6- The kiddos broke up into groups and created a small dialogue they would have in a restaurant in Spanish using last semesters vocabulary words.
