Hello awesome TREA families! I hope you had an amazing weekend. It’s hard to believe it’s December, and as a reminder tuition is due this week, as is $6 per child for those participating in our community service project this Friday. Also, please check the school calendars and make note of the days we will be off for Christmas break (listed below). The weeks scheduled for our break vary among campuses in attempt to establish consistency in the number of days for each location (also allowing our RR campus to observe certain national Monday holidays) and in attempt to follow the local independent school district schedules.
RR/Mon- Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 (returning Jan. 8)
CPW/Tues- Dec. 19, Dec. 26 & Jan. 2 (returning Jan. 9)
CPE/Wed- Dec. 20, Dec. 27 & Jan. 3 (returning Jan. 10)
Our 2nd annual HOLIDAY FEAST, Fun Run and COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT is this FRIDAY, DECEMBER 8 from 10:30am-1:00pm. We’d like for everyone to pitch in for this; it will be so much fun and so rewarding!
The event will kick off with a Fun Run for kids (and parents too), followed by a Taco-themed potluck meal and fellowship. A sign-up sheet for luncheon items will be sent out soon but please let me know right away if there’s anything particular you’d like to contribute. After the meal, parent volunteers along with some 5th/6th graders will lead the students in making blessing bags for the homeless. The blessing bags will contain a note of encouragement along with an assortment of “blessings” hand picked by your child from tables arranged by ‘like’ items, such as nonperishable food items, bottled water, wet wipes, a toothbrush, socks, gloves, a warm hat, fresh fruit, etc.
The goal is to teach the children compassion, selflessness, service, and leadership. **Please contact me directly if you’re interested in volunteering.
To make the blessing bags stretch further, we are asking for $6 per child to purchase some supplies in advance. This will allow us to purchase in bulk, which will make each dollar stretch to put more in each bag. Cash or checks made payable to TREA is due no later than Dec.6. This $6 will also serve as your child’s RSVP to the event so please make sure payment is submitted, sealed in an envelope and labeled with your child’s name.
The blue tuition/collection box will be at each TREA location on school days through Dec. 6 but teachers may also intercept your RSVP/payment during drop off/pick up times.
We ask that you also help by donating any of the items below. Please email me with items you would like to donate, however, please hold on to those until the morning of Dec. 8. Thanks!
IF you are unable to make the event but would still like to donate items, there will be a gray plastic binfor collections set out starting Monday Dec. 4 through Wed. Dec. 6. Again, donations will ONLY be accepted during school hours for those who cannot make the event on the 8th. 🙂

Below is a video we shared with the kiddos, created by Mrs. Klemmer and here are some highlights.
