TREA CPE Highlights (Wed. only)

Hello Parents,
You are invited join us next week at 9 am for morning prayer! We want to circle up and stand united as we cover our students, families, teachers and school grounds with prayer. See you around the flag!! All are welcome!

Below are some highlights from what your children learned within each class this week. Thanks for your support in partnering with us and sharing your precious kiddos!

Today en la clase de español –

Kinder:
We sang a new song (ojos, boca, orejas y nariz) to the tune of London Bridges falling down, reviewed our emociones and continued our bilingual book ( Robertos trip to the top) during carpet time. The kiddos did real well translating some of our story words into english.

1/2:
We cut out mi cuerpo, labeled and glued onto construction paper today while singing this months vocabulary words. Look over your list for next weeks vocabulary memory jogger.

3/4:
The kiddos competed against each other today during our vocabulary bell game. I dictated words from this months vocabulary list in Spanish, and they translated them into english. It got a bit rowdy in class, but overall the kiddos behaved themselves nicely! Great job ninos! Look over this months list for next weeks memory jogger. Gracias!

5/6:
We completed a worksheet on el cuerpo today, the kiddos also competed against each other today during our vocabulary bell game. I dictated words from this months vocabulary list in Spanish, and they translated them into english. It got a bit rowdy in class, but overall the kiddos behaved themselves nicely! Great job ninos! Look over this months list for next weeks memory jogger. Gracias!

Feliz fin de semana!

SCIENCE with Mrs. Cecil
We explored how molecules move at different rates. Some substances mix more quickly in hot liquids than in cold liquids. We also demonstrated that all molecules, even air, occupy space.

P.E. with Mrs. Kaderli-
More obstacle course fun focusing team building, agility and on many more skills!

COMMUNICATIONS with Ms. Newell
5/6 and 3/4 class covered the rest of our Stress topics. We talked about coping strategies and some of the negative thoughts we have that lead to or contribute to our stress.

In K/1 and 1/2 we “read” How Droofus the Dragon Lost His Head. I forgot my book at home so we watched a YouTube video of the book being read. We talked about the choices that led to differing consequences and how to bold and stand up for the right thing even when it’s not what others are doing (a character in the book has to stand up to the king to defend the dragon).

ART– painting began in all grades!

Have a wonderful weekend!
