On Tuesday at TREA CPW…
We “dissected” flowers, including the roots, stems, leaves, buds, and petals, looking for seeds and how things “work” inside a plant. (Dirt and all!) The students drew diagrams of their findings and many kept the flower parts and incorporated these pieces into their diagram. Check their green science folder for their great work!
Ask the students about a seed “coat” and the purpose of each of the plant parts they identified.
K/1 went on a “treasure” hunt after dissecting their flowers and searched for more seeds and flowers around our school.
Homework for Tuesday classes is to practice all learned techniques 10 times per day. 10 punches with each arm, 10 head blocks with each arm, 10 front kicks with each leg..
Great day in music today, working on our musical songs and using rhythm sticks. Older grades are working very hard on reading the treble staff and playing recorder as a unified team. Younger grades are working on keeping a steady beat. Homework for grades 3-6, practice recorder music in your folders. Goal: 5 minutes each school day.
Parents, please contact me if you’d like to help with sheep costumes or props for the musical. Have a great week!
5/6 Character Building. We have started our prayer journals and finished The Hundred Dresses.
This week we have been working on the numbers we worked in pronunciation, spelling and some exercises. K/1 learned from 1-10, 1/2 & 3/4 from 0 to 20, and 5/6 from 0 to 100. We will keep working on the numbers for the next two weeks.
Art: Zentangle fun!
Thanks for sharing your amazing kiddos with that’s each week and have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend!
Blessings, Angela Turner, Director
