We listened to a bilingual story this week, ( Calabaza Calabaza) . Several students presented their project boards ( Todo sobre mi). I will hold onto their boards as they will be on display during our end of the year Spanish gallery. For homework this week please work on your project! Gracias!
This week we enjoyed sampling pastelitos and tostones from Cuba, and we also tried a Costa Rican dish ( gallo pinto). Yummy!!!! We learned about the many beautiful animales found in Costa Rica. While enjoying the lovely music from Cuba. Kiddos, if you were not able to present your project this week, we will definitely get to it in the coming weeks! Thank you for being patient! The kids and I enjoyed bocadillos from Spain this week! Yummy! We also viewed a musket replica from Spain and learned about their renewable energy! We looked at a beautiful hand made jewelry box brought in from Nicaragua, and also viewed many other items like hand woven purses, wooden cutting boards and pens made by the locals. We also learned about a beautiful red bird found in Nicaragua! Work on your project for homework this week.
We learned about Costa Rica this week another Spanish speaking country. The kids heard about Costa Ricas beautiful beaches, their many many tourists ( 2.66 million in 2015 alone) . We also saw pictures of the beautiful king vulture found in Costa Rica! Work on your projects for homework this week!
